During the *vasilopita* cutting event, Father Dimitrios Papachatzis presented an account of the journey he undertook in October to the historic homeland of Kato Panagia.
Through photographs, personal experiences, and narratives, the attendees had the opportunity to mentally travel to the places where our ancestors lived until 1922.
Images of the remaining traces of the Greek presence—as well as accounts of family memories that still link the descendants of refugees to their ancestors' homeland—evoked deep emotion.
This pilgrimage serves as a reminder that memory is not merely historical knowledge, but a living bond between generations
